Traveling, to me, is all about connecting with people and this trip accomplished that. You do not get a cookie cutter trip from WanderTours; rather, you get a truly personal experience and one that I will always remember. Thank you, Beth, for organizing such a wonderful tour with such a wonderful group of traveling companions! Marian M.
I recommend WanderTours because Beth is very detail oriented and thorough, yet easy going. I would follow her anywhere! This was an awesome trip all the way around. It exceeded my expectations. Denise K.
From the moment we stepped off the airplane we were treated to a first-class experience. I wouldn’t change a thing! There were magical experiences every day, but riding through the Sahara on a camel had to be the best! Every country I’ve visited (34 to date) has had its uniqueness but none compare to the experience WanderTours provided for Morocco. If other experiences with WanderTours are like Morocco, you can expect perfection! Vicki E.
I recommend WanderTours because I like Beth and her enthusiasm for travel adventure! : ) Jaleila K.
I enjoyed the small group size, knowledge and expertise of the owner and guides. The organization and coordination of activities went very smoothly. I felt communication was excellent and I felt safe under Beth’s and Fatimazahra’s guidance. The accommodations were awesome. I know we were able to do and have special experiences other tour groups would not have. I have already made many recommendations (to WanderTours)! The reason is that I’m absolutely sure that the person I make the recommendation to will be more than 100% satisfied! Laura R.
I had the unique opportunity to experience a Morocco that I didn’t know existed. Amy H.
The food was tasty, healthy and bountiful. Our driver, Mohammed, was excellent and was always very courteous and kind. He took his job very seriously and had a great attitude. Our guide Fatimzahra was a pleasure to be with. She truly cared about us and our wants and needs, loves what she is doing and puts her all into it. The tour was so well-organized and executed. The accommodations and food were great. The whole Sahara experience was a thrill. The beauty of this country, the friendliness of the people, the architecture and the architectural detail, the tile and other craftworks we saw – the trip was one giant sensory feast! Suzanne W.
The trip was absolutely incredible and our guide, Fatima, was able to give us some experiences we would not have had with any other tour guide. BEST TRIP EVER!!! I loved it all and the group bonding was wonderful. What a group of fabulous and unique women. Sandy F.
This was my #1 trip (and I’ve had some great trips!). I felt that I truly experienced Morocco. Judi R.
I loved the juxtaposition of doing activities with locals and then experiencing the hustle of shopping and sight seeing. These trips are unique because you get to do unusual activities off of the beaten path but still see the famous sites you’ve heard of. I also love that we were not a “cozy” group of 40 following an orange flag! Barb D.
Beth puts together great tours with super accommodations and unique experiences. Best trip ever!! Jackie B.
Best trip I’ve ever taken anywhere!!! I think every woman should do this at least once. Beth and Fati are a fabulous guide combo – they refer to each other as “sisters.” The country is amazing and we had many opportunities to interact with local people – from high end shop owners to nomads. I am still in contact with some of my fellow travelers.
I wouldn’t hesitate to go on another tour extraordinaire with Beth Whitman. She helped make every day fun and interesting. Her concern for our comfort and safety was apparent, and the experiences that she planned for us were unforgettable! I don’t think I could’ve had a better time in Morocco than the one I had with our group of fellow world travelers. Julie M.
The trips are well organized and a true value for the money spent. I wouldn’t have changed anything. I appreciate the arrangements made on a personal level with the guides Beth has hand-picked to work with. I most enjoyed the hike in the Atlas Mountains and lunch with a local family. It was a wonderful way to truly understand the culture of Morocco. Our guide was also able to arrange tea at a local woman’s home on our way up and her hospitality was very warm. Bobbie D.
Thank you Beth for putting together such a great tour! It was so well thought out. I think the places included in the tour and the added activities attracted certain personalities and everyone melded really well. Judy L.
From sign-up to follow-up, the trip was very well organized. The experiences were hand-picked, the hotels were 5-star, more food than anyone could eat was included, and there was no stress about tipping. The driver and guides were excellent, and I always felt safe. Although you can’t pick the group, based on my India experience, Beth seems to attract like-minded people, so I felt comfortable investing in this tour. In addition, I appreciate that part of our tour cost goes to organizations that support women in learning skills to be independent. I like Beth’s encouragement to avoid using bottled water. I also trust her to vet the experiences in advance – like how the camels are treated. I tell everyone about these aspects. I think Beth’s tours fit into the “priceless” category. (For everything else there’s MasterCard, as the ad goes.) Margaret W.
I enjoyed meeting and talking to people from all walks of life. I liked the size of the tour and activities I don’t believe would happen with any other tour group. Best trip of my life (so far!). Lynn R.
This tour was a nice mix of tourism, history and culture. A terrific guide in Fati who went above and beyond on several occasions. All the details were handled very efficiently, the itinerary was comprehensive and very interesting. Being part of a very interesting group of women, the night in the desert and dancing with the two women at the Nzala cooperative were highlights. More than on any other tour, we felt we came away with a little understanding of what it is like to be Moroccan. Susan T. & Barbara T.
The planning was amazing. It saved me time and packed many experiences I would not have gotten. The participants were very nice, interesting, inspiring. The variety of experiences and planning to make that happen is not something I could do myself. Julie E.
The wide variety of experiences and opportunities to explore the cultures of Morocco are the reason I choose this trip. The emphasis on cultural exploration and connection from the local point of view rather than just seeing the sites made this trip so successful and so much more meaningful for me. The trip was very well planned and managed. Experiences were varied, based on learning about the people and cultures of Morocco rather than “how many tourist sites can we see.” The small group and good leadership quickly created a community within our group. The flexibility and positive attitude (fostered by good leadership) among this group of travelers made the trip a joy. Beth’s compassionate and caring leadership are exceptional. Excellent value for the money. Carol S.
Well, first of all, Beth is awesome! Second, we saw and experienced so many different things and saw so much of the country. Fatimzahara!!! She (guide) was amazing and went well above and beyond. The quality of transport, hotels, food was worth every penny! I loved getting the connection with locals (being invited into their homes). Theresa P.
I haven’t experienced a WanderTour that I didn’t love! The beautiful country and its residents, variety of activities, an awesome guide and equally awesome tour leader and the fabulous group of fellow travelers all worked particularly well on this trip. Joanne M.
The planning was done seamlessly and the itinerary was wonderful. It was worth it – it was such a fluid experience! The “all women experience” has a different vibe and dynamic energy. I have told those that have asked how great the tour was. Diana D.
This is not a cookie cutter trip, especially since personalized so much by Fati (guide). As I’ve said so many times before, Beth has a sensibility about being in a place that I thoroughly enjoy and value. Nancy R.
YES!!! This experience was worth the cost. Very nice hotels, nice extra surprises, good food (too much good food). The Sahara and the hammam, which I NEVER would have done on my own, were great. I felt safe, the activities were well-planned, and the local contacts were on point. Elizabeth B.
I loved the combination of tourist sites with unforgettable experiences that are off-the-beaten path. I don’t think you can put a price on some of the experiences we had because I think Beth goes out of her way to create a tour that is more meaningful than your typical tour. If you just want to visit Morocco, you could go with any tour group, but if you want a more immersive cultural experience, then go with WanderTours. Amy K.
Your tours are incredible, adventurous, safe, fun, educational and always a good mixture of women with the same spirit to travel. I could never have arranged this all on my own for the price I paid. Ellen W.
The tour was a fast-paced overview of Moroccan history and culture. It was a perfect length and pace for someone visiting Morocco for the first time. It was comfortable, interesting and an enjoyable experience for a woman traveling alone or with a friend. The camaraderie of like-minded, well-traveled, fun-loving women was an added bonus I didn’t expect! Beth and our wonderful guide, Fati, worked tirelessly behind the scenes to show us a taste of Moroccan life in the different regions of the country. Because we covered the country by bus, we experienced social interactions with Moroccan people in the short time we had in each location. The most meaningful experience for me was when we met a beautiful Amazigh (Berber) woman, named Fadma, on the way to the Sahara Desert. She was 82 years old, a widow, and living alone in a tent near the highway. I also enjoyed getting to know and hear about the life of our beautiful guide, Fati. Vicky Z.
The tour itinerary overall hit all the high points I hoped to see and do. The in-country guides were excellent. There was a variety of planned excursions. It felt like we were able to see and do insider off-the-beaten-path experiences. Flexibility in implementing “plan b” when needed seemed pretty seamless. The bus driver was amazing, as the roads throughout Morocco felt and appeared challenging, from a non-driver perspective. I felt very well taken care of throughout the trip. Well planned and executed group tour. I’m very impressed with Beth. She was calm, cool and collected throughout the tour. She is attentive and exuberant and instills a true sense of adventure into the tour. Colleen C.
Fati! Best local guide ever! Really, seeing Morocco through her eyes was the best gift. And the hotels we stayed in were wonderful. The stop to visit Fadma, the 80 year old Amizirghe woman – to see how open and loving she was towards total strangers really touched my heart in a way I can’t describe. This tour is an adventure cocooned in just the right amount of comfort. Feeling safe, but able to find and push the edge of what I think I can do. I always learn more about myself on these trips. I wouldn’t change a thing! Lauren V.
The accommodations were amazing! Loved entering the country to be met by an escort- absolutely no stress! I felt well taken care of. Anything that might produce stress was taken care of. Going on vacation and having all the logistics in the hands of someone else was worth its weight in gold. Sharing a meal with a Berber family, meeting co-op women’s groups and connecting to the culture gave me perspective and a better understanding of the country. Kim E.
The organization from first booking thru to the end worked very well. The trip was well thought out and planned. The Sahara at night, the village in the Atlas Mountains and visiting the women’s cooperatives were highlights. Fantastic, memorable trip. Great group of women. Rose K.
It was amazing to see so much of Morocco! (WanderTours has) great, well-thought-out trips with wonderful women. Bari E.
I enjoyed our guide, Naomi, very much. She was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about the culture of Morocco. I appreciated her desire to share her knowledge and personal stories with us. I felt I understood the culture better because of her shared experiences. Wendy H.
