What people are saying about their WanderTours experience

Loved everything about Beth and the Papua New Guinea trip…On my trip to Papua New Guinea, Beth demonstrated her love of and respect for the wonderful people and amazing culture of Papua New Guinea. She was very sensitive to both the needs of the group and to those of individual travelers.

WanderTours provided excellent value and also added extras such as an up close and personal mini SingSing and a day trip through beautiful scenery to the smaller but charming Enga SingSing. The company is dedicated to giving their clients a wonderful holiday while being committed to helping them learn as much a possible about this truly unique culture.

Papua New Guinea is a true must-see for world travelers. Ed G. (Papua New Guinea Tour)

My WanderTour to India far exceeded my expectations and it sure beat the “sanitized” style of other tour companies! Carole S. (India Tour)

The trip far exceeded my expectations. I have to admit, not having signed up for a tour before, I was a little concerned about how it would go. I did not expect the depth of knowledge and professionalism we experienced. All of [the guides] were engaged, insightful and instructive. So often, you can sense a jadedness and condescension among tour guides that is a turn off, to say the least. I returned to Seattle wanting to know even more about Santa Fe and that’s the way it should be (at least in my opinion).

Of course, for me, the real “take away” was the story of the Native Americans in that part of our country. I have a renewed appreciation for who they are, the struggles they endured and resilience they have – quite remarkable!

I appreciated the opportunity to meld with the other group members and get to know them. The group dynamics were great and it was an extra bonus to connect with each of them. Mary F. (Santa Fe Tour)

It was VERY nice to have everything essentially taken care of for me…my schedule would never have allowed me to go otherwise.

I did especially enjoy traveling with women that have similar travel interests and experiences and would highly recommend it to anyone who has a sense of adventure and curiosity about the world. One of the highlights was to meet new people that I really enjoyed being with and could even possibly travel with in the future. Marcia K. (Bhutan Tour)

Beth is the the best and a true professional who cared about each and every one of us. Laurie K. (South India Tour)

Kinley [in-country guide] is a remarkable woman. She actually was one of the highlights of this trip. Not only did I make a new friend in her, but she was extremely informative, had an answer to all questions, made sure we were as comfortable as we could have been, and I think the fact she was a female tour guide was amazing in itself. We had a great time on our trip, as you had mentioned it is a magical place to visit. The kind of destination that sticks with you and makes you want to return for more. As I mentioned before we are working out details to join you on the trekking trip this fall. Kinda says it all doesn’t it?

Tobgay was a fantastic guide. As you have most likely heard he is very personable and made sure that everyone’s needs were taken care of. Mike H. (2 Bhutan Tours)

I want you to know how much I enjoyed myself on our trip. The trip was everything I had hoped for and then some. The Varanasi experience was the highlight of the trip for me. Then the camel ride and also the Taj Mahal. Margaret S. (India Tour)

This was a great and fun trip. Compared to others I’ve taken:

  • Much more fun – great group of women, with enough similar values to feel at ease for 2 weeks
  • Longer duration - although I could easily have stayed another week or two to explore northern or eastern Bhutan!
  • Women only – very relaxed, refreshing way to experience a place; I liked it!
  • Women guides – wonderful
  • Fantastic bus – wall-to-wall windows allowed great sight-seeing; cleaned every night; comfortable seats; microphone helped a lot
  • More interactive – I think because it was all women, and also because there were so many solo travelers—it made for making friends quickly and easily, and we all mixed it up a lot at meals, during hikes, on free time, etc.
  • More flexible – I loved that we had some flexibility to take advantage of opportunities as they came along: meeting with the Rimpoche; Sunday Paro Market, etc. Sue A. (Bhutan Tour)
